1. Payment Policies
Booking & Confirmation: Reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of a full payment.
Payment Methods: We accept PayPal and Cash in USD. Local taxes (15% IVA) are not included in the advertised price.
Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit of $200 or a valid Passport/ID is required at the time of pickup to cover potential damages or late returns.

2. Scope of Service & Exceptions
Inclusions: Rental includes the Specialized Turbo Tero e-bike, one helmet, one lock per group, and a digital route map.
Exclusions: Rental does not include mechanical support for rider-caused issues (e.g., running out of battery due to improper mode use), flat tire repair once the bike has left the shop, or transport/towing of the rider.

3. Cancellations & Reimbursements
Standard Cancellation: More than 72 hours notice: Full refund minus a [e.g., 10%] administrative fee.
24 to 72 hours notice: 50% refund of the total rental cost.
Less than 24 hours / No-Show: No refund will be issued.
Unused Time: No reimbursements are provided for early returns or "voluntary unused services" once the rental period has begun.

4. Modifications due to Force Majeure (Caso Fortuito)
Definition: "Force Majeure" includes events beyond our control, such as extreme weather, volcanic activity, strikes/protests, government-mandated closures of the National Park, or pandemics. In the event of Force Majeure, GalapagosDIY reserves the right to modify or postpone the rental. Full refunds for Force Majeure events are only issued if the event prevents GalapagosDIY from providing the equipment entirely.
